Spun off from Jeil Pharm Holdings (formerly Jeil Pharmaceutical) in June 2017 and listed on the KOSPI in July of the same year, Jeil Pharmaceutical manufactures and sells finished pharmaceutical products. Its portfolio includes the GERD drug Zastaprazan (Jaqubo, JP-1366), the PARP/Tankyrase dual-target anticancer drug JPI-547 (licensed out to subsidiary Onconic Therapeutics), and the stem-cell technology JCT1-PD (licensed out to S.Biomedics). Zastaprazan has been out-licensed to Livzon Pharmaceutical Group for China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau (2023, total contract value USD 127.5 million), to India (2024), and to Sanfer for Mexico and 19 Latin American countries (2024), while JPI-547 (total contract value KRW 2.5 billion) is in Phase 2 domestic trials and JCT1-PD (total contract value KRW 1.2 billion) is in domestic nonclinical testing.
